Not long ago a member of a think tank did an interesting online study on a very popular Blog and Internet Forum with 1,000s of participants. The study was; What Do You Fear Most$%: Apparently from Maslow's point of view he was dead on in many regards with his comments and theories about self-preservation. As time and time again many folks answered;
FEAR of Death
Yes, this seems to be right near the top of everyone's list for sure. Self-Preservation is way up there on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Fear of death makes a strong case for the Death Penalty deterrent many believe and others think that killing is the ultimate wrong so killing a killer is also no acceptable, that certainly is a huge debate.

One could also discuss that when an International Terrorist does not FEAR death or at least he FEARS his perceived god more if he fails you can see the difficulty in fighting such a man. Well when you are all out of quarters, what do you do$%: Many people spend their entire fortunes only to stay alive another year or two as they are fading away.
It is amazing really working their whole lives to pay for the last one or two, just to be alive. If the FEAR of death were eliminated, allowing people to live longer, if people did not have that fear they would more enjoy their life experience I am certain and without the FEAR of Death they would perhaps be able to accomplish more too I bet$%:
Fear of Death is one of the greatest fears of all. And the study proved to be rather conclusive in that regard. Well at least from a Western Civilization Standpoint that is. Perhaps this article will propel thought in 2007.
